Main Street: where the fun happens

The heart of the community is Main Street. It is home to a 1950s-themed ice cream parlor that hosts coffee socials every morning at 10:00 a.m., where families are invited to join their loved ones for coffee and snacks. Tip from our team: come a little early, because it is usually packed. Murals and benches line Main Street, so you and your loved one can visit together outside of their room.

Our director offices are right on Main Street too, including the Director of Resident Care, so families never have to leave their loved one to speak with leadership.

All-inclusive and designed for memory care

Chanticleer offers all-inclusive pricing, which includes laundry service right off Main Street. The community has three separate but integrated units, Charleston, Columbia and Greenville, and each has its own dining room and seating area so residents can enjoy conversation away from the TV.

Every unit posts a daily menu, a weekly menu and an anytime menu. If a resident is not a fan of what is being served, the team can offer something from the anytime menu instead. Families also receive a monthly newsletter and calendar highlighting outings, shopping trips and holiday events.

Three secured courtyards

Each unit has two exits to one of three secured courtyards. Every courtyard has raised garden beds for the gardening club, and the walking club heads outside in the mornings when the weather is nice. There is a butterfly garden, and a farm-themed courtyard that is especially meaningful for residents who grew up around farms and animals.

Thoughtful touches throughout

Residents who still enjoy writing letters can use the community post office to send cards for birthdays and holidays, and families can send cards in too. A bus stop on Main Street offers a gentle, reassuring spot for residents who want to feel like they are heading somewhere.
