It is about making them feel loved. In this short video, she shares why, after 55 years, she still can’t imagine doing anything else.
More like family than clients
Ms. Sharon puts it simply: “The most important thing to me is I love them. I love being with them and making them happy and they brighten my day.” She is quick to add that she thinks the residents do more for her than she does for them.
Over the years, meeting people has been one of her favorite parts of the job. As she explains in the video, she has met so many nice people that have come to be more like family than clients. She shares how one resident recognizes her the moment she walks in the front door. “She knows exactly who I am and what’s going to happen. That just makes me so happy.” Little moments like that are what turn a regular appointment into something residents look forward to.
